Several terms are used for the fullness of the Spirit in the Bible
1●Receving the Holy Spirit
2●Being anointed with the Holy Spirit
3●Being filled with the spirit
4●Being Baptized in the spirit.
Being daily and continuously filled with the Holy Spirit Acts 2:4
Eph 5:18, Acts 4:31
●It is an ongoing process
●In order to maintain the fullness, we need to drink daily from the source of supply
Being baptized in the Spirit:
●Acts 11:16,
Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence
●Acts 11:16
John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
To baptise means to thoroughly immerse.
It has an even deeper meaning, which is to immerse into an element that has the power to change .
This word baptism in Greek was actually used in the clothing industry.
A garment which is immersed into colored water will be transformed into a different colour .
▪︎Likewise when we are immersed in the Holy Spirit He will transform us

■ In Genisis Chapter 11 :9
Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
Here, we see that the Lord confounded the language of the people
●This is, in fact, the beginning of diversity
- In the world today, we witness various forms of diversity .This began in Genisis Chapter 11 when they tried to build the tower of Babel, and then God came down and confused their language.
•Diversity based on race, of skin, culture…
▪︎An important among these types of diversity is the one due to the difference in languages
▪︎Even languages change
▪︎usage of words change over time
▪︎A language itself undergoes change over time
An important example we see is the English we read in the King James Version of the Bible, where the English is reasonably different from the one we speak today
■A classic example is that the letter “J” was absent from the list of alphabets at that time.
●There are various dialects of the same language in various regions
▪︎this leads to
differences and diversity
●■We see that on the day of Pentecost, the Lord brings back unity
●The Lord gives one language to the people! The language of the kingdom of God!! ▪︎This language brings all God’s people together
●Just like Hindi is the national language of India
Similarly, Other Tounges is the language of the Kingdom of God !!
●●Isaiah Chapter 28:10-13
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing:
■This is an old Testament prophesy about speaking in tounges
●When we speak in other Tounges, we will receive “rest”
•Also those who speak in tounges will be “refreshed “
○○ Exodus 33:14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
●Another benefit of speaking in tounges is that you will experience the “presence ” of God
●Many a times, we may not experience the presence of God .
So what do we do?
▪︎▪︎we must start to speak in other Tounges and then you will start experiencing the presence of God
1 Corinthians 14: 2 presents another benefit of speaking in tounges——–
•••It gives one direct access to God !!
•••Also no one else can understand this language
▪︎▪︎▪︎What is being spoken is infact a mystery !
It’s a mystery (Hidden wisdom) that only the Holy Spirit can reveal .
1 Corinthians Chap 2:7-10
No one else can unravel this secret !
●Since this is done in the spirit no one can understand
▪︎Satan cannot understand this language
•What ever one does in the spirit, that Satan cannot understand
●So when you speak in the spirit, Satan cannot understand you–So if you want to confuse Satan, the best tool is to speak in other tounges.
■1 Corinthians Chapter 14:4 speaks about edification
•He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church
•• When your spirit is edified, the body will automatically be strengthened,
●This language arises not from your intelligence like other spoken languages but this language arises from your “SPIRIT “
●When you speak in other Tounges, your spirit is strengthened
■■ Another way of strengthening your spirit is “confessing” the Word of God.
●●Bringing your body and soul under the subjection of the Spirit is the “key” to living in the Spirit.
☆☆☆Then, you will be able to activate your authority as a Son of God !!!
