Continuing on the imageries of the Holy Spirit
■ River : In the Word of God, We see a river from Genisis 2 to Revelation. That river is the Holy Spirit.
●We see references to this river in Exodus 17
River in Ezekiel
■In Ezekiel 47 , we see another river that flows from the temple of God
Ezekiel 47 Then he brought me back to the door of the [a]temple; and there was water, flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple faced east; the water was flowing from under the right side of the temple, south of the altar.
■Here we see that river ” starts ” from the temple.
●Ezekiel was prophesying from captivity (Babylon )
●He is prophesying about the present (Gospel) age.
●We see that River was flowing from the temple of God.
●In the Old Testament ,God was in the temple .God was present there in the temple
●In other words, God’s presence was ” restricted ” to the temple.
●God’s presence was infact restricted to a building.
●In those days people had to go to the temple in Jerusalem to worship
●God decides that His presence won’t be restricted to a building
●God decides on a world wide revival.
●The river flows eastward
●In the New Testament, the temple is ” the Church of God “
● Also ,you are the “Temple of God in the New Testament!
●●You will become a source of the Holy Spirit River !
●Each beliver will become a source of this river
●You will become a source of Revival
●This water is called living water
●This water is also referred to as healing water.
●● RiverJordan in Israel is connected to the Dead sea, a sea in which there is no living creature
●Nothing will live in the Dead Sea 🌊
●Water from the river of God flows into the dead sea and life comes into the Dead Sea (Ezekiel 47:8)
●There are many palaces like this on earth that are spiritually dead like the Dead Sea 🌊
●When the river of the Holy Spirit flows through you , you will become a life giver !
● You will give life to a spiritually dead person!
●You will give life to a spiritually dead home !
●●The temple was restricted to a place, but now it flows !!
Life giving river can give life in dead places
●●In Ezekiel 47: 2
And when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles
●●Ankle Level !! – Means you are walking in the awareness of the presence of God
●Start recognizing the presence of God.
●It is very important to recognize the presence of God to know if people listening to you are receiving the Word of God.
●Many Preachers don’t know if the people are receiving the Word of God or not.
●One must be sensitive enough to look around the congregation and sense the presence of the Holy Spirit.
●God has promised us that “I will be with you till the end of the world “
But there are times when His presence is not manifested , or you might not feel His presence
●One will need to use wisdom when he does not recognize or feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.
●You need to differentiate between “presence ” and a spiritually “dry” experience
●●Also if you are in the water ,when you remain faithful you will move ahead .
●Ezekiel 47. Verse 4 Again he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees.
●●This signifies that at this level of flow of the river of the Holy Spirit In you ,you will be on your knees ,praying more!
●At this level you will become a man/woman of Prayer
●At this level you need to immerse yourself in more spiritual activities
•Either you must pray or otherwise you could listen to the Word of God
●you need to develop your prayer life and pray whenever possible
● The secret behind success in ministry is always persistent prayer !
