Continuing on the Imageries of the Holy Spirit
Imagery: River
Ezekiel 47: 4
Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came up to my waist,
●After knees level, the next level is when the River of the Holy Spirit comes up to your waist
●At this level, you will start becoming fruitful and productive in the Kingdom of God.
You will produce.
●At this level, you will be pregnant with souls
●You will carry the people in your womb ,and then you will start to deliver them.
●Deliverence (Delivery) will start to happen !
■The next level
Ezikiel 47 : 5
Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed
●At this level, the water will be too deep
You won’t be able to walk and you will be unable to direct yourself on your own
●Here, you will be led by the spirit of God
●The current of the river will take you to your destiny
●You would not need to put in much of your own effort after this level
■Many a ,times ,before this level ,when you were in control of your ministry, you would be putting in a lot of human effort to progress
■But at this level, you will not be able to see according to your desires and move according to your plans.
●You will start living in faith !
● You will start living in the spirit
●You will be led by the spirit 24 hours of a day
**As we have heard earlier in Israel ,the river flows from the temple into the Dead sea , this water causes Dead Sea to become alive
●Earlier, the presence of God was restricted to a building,
■But God decided to reach out the whole world by sending His spirit to all who desire it.
● that’s why the river flows from the temple.
Fulfilment of Ezk 47 during Millennium
The water in the Dead Sea will be healed and fishes will live in Dead Sea in the Millennium reign of Jesus
●Ezekiel 47:9
And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish.
●Everything will live !
Next river
■Again ,in John 7:37 in the sermon of living water :
Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
●In some translations, the words out of their ” belly” are used. It signifies the innermost part of their being.
■In Leviticus chapter 23
It speaks about the various Jewish feasts :
- Feast of the Passover
- Feast of Unleaven Bread
- Feast of First Fruits
- Feast of Pentecost (Weeks)
- Feast of Trumpets
- Feast of Atonement
- Feast of Tabernacle
During the feast of the Tabernacle they have a water ritual
●The land of Israel is mostly a dry land
●Crops to reach the stage of harvest need both former and latter rains
●Former rain is the rain that should come just before the seeds are sown
●Latter rains are rains that help the growth of these seeds
●If nature does not give rain at the right time, all the crops will be destroyed
● So the people’s main prayer in the temple to God was to give them rain at the right time, or their Crops would be a destroyed .
● So an important ritual in this feast of Tabernacle is that the priest will walk from the temple with a golden pitcher ,draw water in it from the pool of Siloam and walk back all the way and pour the water in the golden pitcher on the alter of the temple as an offering to God
**This was, in fact, a ritual they performed to request God for rain
*When this ritual was performed , if any of the people walking with the priest was thirsty, the priest would not give some of the water to them ,as the ritual would be disturbed .
●He was doing a religious ritual, and he was not permitted to break the rules of the ritual and help the people who were in need of a drink.
●We see that the priests were ministering to the religion
●●But Jesus was standing outside the same temple in Jerusalem and ministering to the people !!
●●•More than ministering the religion , when people are in need, their needs must be ministered to !
●The needs of the people are more important than religious rituals
●●This principle is made clear in Mark 2: 27
Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
●●●all these point to the fact that when a question arises as to who is more important when a conflict arises between religious laws and man , it stresses the fact that most assuredly its man who is more important.
●In a similar example in the verse where the woman is caught in adultery and the law stated that she should be stoned to death , we see that Jesus stood up and showed compassion on the woman
●when there is a conflict between the law and man ,you are called to stand with the man
- Again, we have to notice that people follow these rituals blindly because they were actually living in fear
■But when the River of the Holy Spirit flows through you,
●You will become a source of both river and rain
●You will create rain !
●You will speak, and then the rains will pour down
●You will become a co-creater with God !!
●You will become a solution to the problem.
●Your thirst then will be a spiritual thirst
●You will start to understand that all material problems can be solved by spiritual solutions !!
● Money is, in fact, the lowest form of power.
●●You Infact have spiritual power
●All the material problems can be actually solved by spiritual power
●God wants to make you a solution
•He wants you to produce things by the superior method of the Spirit, having solutions and supplies obtained through faith!
●Don’t keep trying to solve your problems by natural, man made methods
●●You are going to produce by faith !
●● You are going to create by faith !
●● You are going to LIVE by faith !
●Your source is not this earth. Your source is heaven, and hence, your source is limitless !!
When you climb to the higher levels of walking in the spirit ,you are going to solve your problems supernaturally!!
■Mark 7:27 Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
■ This verse means that you will become a source !
●You will become a problem solver
••You will solve problems supernaturally
●●If you are in financial need, you need to act in the supernatural,
you don’t need evidence to believe you only need faith!!
Next river
■Revelation 22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
●This speaks about the last river
■ In the New Heaven and New Earth ,there is no sea , no ocean, no thirst.
● The only source of water is the river that flows from the throne of God, who is the source of this river of the Holy Spirit
●●If you are in this river ,it will ultimately take you to heaven with it.
