Seventh Benift of speaking in tounges
●Tounges keep us continually aware of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling presence.
●In other words, it helps us to be ever conscious of God’s indwelling presence.
●If one is constantly aware of the indwelling presence, it will definitely affect the way he thinks, speaks ,and acts.
●It will bring about a change in our behavior.
●There are people who are filled with the Holy Spirit ,but they still continue to do things they aught not do. It’s usually because they they aren’t having the fellowship with God as they really should have had.
●It’s at this juncture that the real importance of speaking in tounges comes into the picture.
● If one would take time to have fellowship with God by speaking in Tounges and live aware of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling presence, then it will help the person constantly experience the presence of the Holy Spirit and ultimately do things that would please God.
●The Eighth Benift of speaking in tounges is :
●It eliminates the possibility of selfishness entering our prayer life.
●If I pray out of my mind ,at times, it can turn out to be unscriptural and selfish.
●Just like the famous story of the Farmer who used to pray to God, ” bless me ,my wife ,my son John, his wife us four and no more ! “
● Romans 8:26 says
Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
●Here ,Paul says that as we do not actually know what to pray for and whether it’s in the perfect will of God ,the Holy Spirit will Himself be our intercessor.
●So when you speak in other tounges, you are actually praying according to the will of the Holy Spirit.
●He helps us to pray.
●When we speak in other tounges ,we are actually praying a spirit directed prayer.
●When our prayer is Spirit directed ,it eliminates the possibility of selfishness in our prayers.
●In Old Testament, we see that the people of Israel prayed for a king .
●1 Samuel 8:4-7 says the people prayed for a King ,but their prayer was not in line with the perfect will of God.
●As New Testament believers,God has given us the gift of Tounges.
●So when we pray in tounges ,which eliminates selfishness present in praying from our human mind and also it removes the possibility of us praying outside the will of God
● Ninth Benifit of speaking in Tounges
●It helps us to learn to trust God to a much greater extent.
●Praying in tounges builds one’s faith.
●When you pray in faith, it helps you to trust more in God.
●It stimulates faith and helps us to trust God fully.
●When we pray In tounges, we don’t know what would be the next word that will be uttered from our own mouth, and we would have to trust God fully to give us each word of utterance.
●Also ,trusting God like this in one area helps us trust God in other areas of our lives ,too.
●It helps us increase our level of trust.
● Tenth Benifit of speaking in other Tounges
●It helps us to be free of the contamination from the ungodly and profane elements present in the languages of this world.
●There is so much vulgar talk that’s going on around us everywhere in both private and public spaces, and profane words are freely used.
●Speaking in Tounges helps us clean our tongue and speech.
●Other Tounges is a superior language compared to earthly languages because all the languages of this world have profane words, words that are used to curse ,and vulgar words.
●Other Tounges is a language that is completely devoid of all the above and, hence, definitely superior.
●A lot of profane vulgar usages and words are present in almost all languages of this world
●If you speak in tounges to yourself while you drive or as you work, it will ultimately help keep you away from the contamination of this world.
●Speaking more to yourself and to God is a means of keeping yourself free from the contamination by this world we live in.
●All this shows that Other Tounges is a superior language.
Eleventh Benifit Door to the Nations
●In the natural realm ,knowing different languages is an important factor that gives one mobility and access to many countries.
●As you speak in tounges, God will open doors of many nations to you even if you don’t know any of their languages.
●An example is that of the well-known revivalist Mel Tari,he was born in the rather interior Island of Timur in Indonesia, where he had no access to proper running water,where there were no good schools , used to live in huts and at the age of 17 after receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and at the age of 21 or 22 received the opportunity to move to the United States.
Today, he is an accomplished evangelist who has traveled to almost all all nations of the world except two !!
● Twelfth Benifit
When one prays in Tounges ,it provides a way that enables one to pray for things nobody in the natural would have thought of as something necessary to pray for or be even considered as something that required prayer.
●Holy Spirit helps us to pray for things that our natural mind knows nothing about.
●As we pray in tounges ,we mostly end up receiving a realization of victory in our spirit.
●We receive the understanding that what we have been praying for has been prayed through.
● Thirteenth Benifit of praying in tounges is being able to thank God.
1 Corinthians 14:15-17
● Fourteenth Benifit of praying in Tounges :
●James 3:8 reads
But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing.
●Praying in Tounges is a big step towards fully yielding all your members to God .
●If one is able to yield his tounge in obedience to God then he would be able to yield all his other members, which causes him to sin easily .
