Gift of Faith
Smith Wigglesworth, over the course of his ministry, has supposedly raised 14 dead people to life.
● 3 gifts of the Spirit are, in fact
believed to be extremely necessary for raising the dead.
- Gift of faith
- Gift of Miracles
- Gift of Healings
●1. One needs supernatural faith to call back a person’s spirit after it has left the body.
●When the spirit leaves the body, to call back the spirit, one needs unnatural faith!
So one infact needs the gift of Faith to do so.
●2. One also needs to have the gift of miracles. This is because the body would have started deteriorating.
So here ,nothing short of a miracle can restore the rapidly decomposing body.
The body needs to be restored to its earlier state .
●3. Gift of Healing -Now again the person could have died due to various health conditions. For example ,the person could have suffered a kidney failure due to damage to the organ’s functioning, that damaged organs need to be healed .
●Another situation one needs Gift of faith is in casting out demons.
●Here, the gift of discernment of spirits is needed.
●One needs to discern which Spirit is in operation or one needs to know this through word of knowledge.
●Also, one needs the gift of faith to cast out demons as you do not see the demon leaving the body.There are times when there might not be any manifestation. So then, how would you know if the spirit left the body
●So tell the Lord that you need these three 🎁 gifts.
●In Daniel 6 ,we see that those people plotted against Daniel
●Daniel was in the Lion’s den, and that’s one place one would need the gift of Faith
●The Lions were around him, and we read that he was sitting peacefully among them ,which gift is in operation here, surely its the gift of Faith.
● Daniel knew that the Lion’s could not touch him.
●Daniel 6:16 says
So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.” 17 Then a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signets of his lords, that the purpose concerning Daniel might not be changed.
●Then we see on that night the King was unable to sleep and later comes to the den where Daniel was put along with the Lion’s and cries.
The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”
21 Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! 22 My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”
●Here ,Daniel was able to spend his time with the Lion’s in the den as the gift of Faith was operating in him.
●In 1 King’s 17 :2
Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 3 “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. 4 And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
●When Elijah was told that ravens would bring him his food ,he believed. This was because He had the gift of faith operating in him,otherwise, it would have been impossible for someone to actually believe this would actually happen.
●Another place where one needs the gift of Faith is the layingon of hands .
●you don’t actually see anything.
●You lay hands on a person, and if a blessing has to be sent on that person ,you need faith .
●Example Issac blessing Jacob
●The person who blesses , for example, here Issac spoke a word ,and he knew that it would come to pass
●The time you are releasing a blessing, that moment the Gift of Faith is in operation.
●In the case of Baptism in the Holy Spirit, too, you lay hands on the person and says ” receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”One does not see anything. You believe that it is imparted to that person,so here it’s the gift of faith that operates.
●Raising the dead ,casting out demons both need the gift of Faith.
●The Gift of Faith is released by speaking
